Cusco and Machu Picchu hotel is ideal to visit the old peak

Overview
At the same time become acclimatized, we took a gentler walking around the unforgettable places in Cusco, starts at the Plaza de Armas. I'm afraid our amble took on all the characteristics of a road March that made us proud, but exhausted. However, we see the Sacsayhuaman fortress and Tambomachay "Virgin Baths" during our short stay in Cusco. There are a wide range of really good hotels in Cusco and whether you can afford to spend a lot or just a little, it is a hotel that suits you. In fact, we found that all Cusco and Machu Picchu Hotels we came across was superb, both in its treatment of guests and in the standard of accommodation on offer.

Dizzying height
Splurging at the beginning of our holiday, we had booked to La Casona-mainly to enjoy the wealth that we would normally never have experienced in our wildest dreams. All of the hotels in Cusco and Machu Picchu, this is certainly the most rich. Apart from the fact that the very first boutique hotel opens in Cusco, its other claim to fame is its total privacy in the middle of a busy city. La Casona, one of the Inkaterras hotel, has only 11 suites to receive guests. However, it is worth the cost because you really need to get used very thin quality of the air which can leave you gasping for breath, and makes you dizzy if you do too much too quickly.

Peace and quiet
When we came to the village of Aguas Calientas, only a 15-minute drive from Machu Picchu, we booked our hotels who held a further surprise to us. It was among 12 acres, complete with waterfalls, trickling streams, flotillas of butterflies. This is the Cusco and Machu Picchu hotel is the best! Apart from Machu Picchu itself, which is unforgettable, staying at the hotel, there are lots of other things to do. The hotel is located alongside the River Vilaconota and you can only wish to enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the gorgeous garden around you while eating a gourmet dinner in the hotel restaurant.

There are plenty of other Cusco and Machu Picchu Hotels standards, both in Cusco itself in Agua Calientas. In fact, there is also a hotel up Machu Picchu site. Personally, I would choose to stay at Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, during its 12 acres of peace and quiet in what is generally fairly strenuous holiday.

Machu Picchu-take the challenge and travel at your own

Machu Picchu has become a very popular destination in recent years. Perhaps you know this site was declared as a new 7 Wonders of the World this year. About eight hundred thousand tourists have visited Machu Picchu this year. And it is expected that approximately one million travelers will visit this fantastic city in 2008.

It really is a great place to visit. However, you can visit on your own? Or did you take the help of tour operators? Lots of people asked me this question. I will try to answer that question in this article.

Well, some of you need to travel agencies, some of you don't. If you plan to visit Machu Picchu, Aguas Calientes, Peru live in (I wrote about Aguas Calientes, Peru in detail below), one or two nights, you do not have a tour operators. But if you're planning to hike the Inca trail, you will need a tour operator. Under the new law, only licensed tour operators can work in the Inca trail. There are exceptions for those who want to go independently, but they have to wear their own equipment, luggage, food and tents, so it is not practical to go to hike the Inca trail and tour operators. If you plan to visit Machu Picchu in one day and want to come back the same day, and you have children, then you also need to employ the services of tour operators.

So if you aren't in a hurry (and don't come to hike the Inca trail), then you don't need all the tour operators. You can save money and spend it any other way. It is also as a challenge, learn new things and make them work. You will like it. Just get ideas from the Web site, noting the important information and start.

Peru Travel Guide-enjoy Machu Picchu Tours

Define the memory of most Peru Vacations is the moment when it arrives at the lookout point is called the watchman Hut, the starting point for all Machu Picchu tours, where the world famous citadel staggering beauty finally revealed in its glorious setting, hidden in the clouds atop a jungle-clad mountains.

Is by far the most convenient way to visit Machu Picchu, a supplier of Peru vacation packages, but for the most adventurous and people with a decent grasp of Spanish, it is possible to find your own way and track down a guide on the day.

Since its re-discovery in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, is an American explorer at Yale University, Machu Picchu has become the stuff of legends. an iconic image in the minds of millions, with all its character of adventure, exploration and mythical history.

Surprising about the reality of Machu Picchu is much more down to Earth. Recent archaeological studies have suggested that the site was not a center of spiritual and religious significance, which was adopted in the past.

In fact, proposes some archaeologists now that Machu Picchu was originally conceived as a centre of learning, a type of Inca University or even better, a grand and very elaborate vacation spot for the kingdoms nobility.

It is not disputed that Machu Picchu is one of the best preserved, most exciting and jaw-droppingly beautiful archaeological sites-in South America and throughout the world.

Part of the citadel ALLURE has always been its disposal law, lies deep within Peru's Sacred Valley, surrounded by mountains and valleys unforgiving Hutter, complete with dense subtropical forests and gushing rivers.

Access to the site these days are thankfully, much easier, not least because line trains were extended until the modern town of Aguas Calientes, Peru at the mountain base. It is now possible to arrive by train, Aguas Calientes, Peru spend the night in this busy, tourism oriented city and catch an early morning bus up to the citadel is the following day.

Most visitors are interested in to get to Machu Picchu as early as possible, and although the first bus ($ 14 return) departing at around 5: 30 am, the strongest is in the queue from as early as 3 pm.

Taking things seriously, this is probably only worthwhile if you plan to climb Mountain Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu sister on the same day: the entrance is limited to 400 people per day, and tickets are selling very early. Otherwise, aims to be in the queue from around 5 pm and you will still be able to make an early bus and catch the citadel before most of the masses arrive.

Before it arrives at the ticket office you will find a number of guides ($ 15-20 for 2.5 hours), most of which tend to be very professional and knowledgeable, even if the standard of English can be inconsistent. The information inside the site is non-existent, and only for this reason, consider booking your trip in advance with the Peru tours operator with a guaranteed standard of tour guide.

Most of the guided tours last about two and a half hours and will include a comprehensive range of Web site. You begin at the watchman Hut, which offers the best views of the site (those who are on all postcards) before you make your way towards the North and the highest, the edge of the citadel where some of the most important relics remain: the Temple of three Windows, the main Temple, the Intihuatana (rock sun) and the sacred Rock, who all line central plaza, grassy key.

Recent progress in terms of astro-archaeology has shown a great many new lessons in nature and layout of Machu Picchu, and your guide will point out some of the many adjustments to these important points with the stars and the solar system.

Of particular importance are the points on the surrounding mountains which complies with the citadel during important solar phases, including summer and winter solstice.

Moreover, along the opposite mountain ranges in the South, you will be able to see the last stages of the famous Inca Trail, as it leads down from the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu itself.

Once your tour is complete, you will have the opportunity to go the wrong way, the Inca Trail to the Sun Gate, which you will be rewarded with a different (and much less crowded) perspective on the site.

Alternatively, you can make the short hike of Intipata, or Inca bridge, approximately 45 minutes from the city of Machu Picchu. The bridge is constructed together facing a cliff and offers a fantastic view over the surrounding landscape. The bridge itself has unfortunately been closed to the public for security reasons.

If you have time, consider knitting for the rest of the day, and relax in a quieter corner of Machu Picchu. There is only one thing as impressive as the sun rise over the citadel: the sun-set.

While visiting Machu Picchu, be sure to remember the following considerations:

-Citadel is a protected place of significant historical importance. Therefore, tight restrictions on what can be included on the website, including plastic bottles, metal-tipped walking poles and large backpacks (these can be stored in the ticket office for $. 50)

-On-site services including toilets, food and drink is non-existent and outside the ticket office, prices are high. But you are allowed to bring your own food and drink in a small day bag.

-Peak visiting hours are from 10 am to around mid afternoon. Before and after these times the masses is much thinner and the queues for return bus trip is much shorter.

Machu Picchu-how was the Inca Civilization destroyed?

Virgin sacrifices took place at Machu Picchu

More than 50 burial sites have been excavated at the Machu Picchu site, and because many female bone was found originally it was originally speculated that virgin sacrifices may have taken place there. However, it was at the same time human victims may have been an integral part of the Inca religion and performed at major festivals more likely that young children were sacrificed and a number of children mummified remains have been found on the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Further analysis of the bones found at the famous citadel, shows that many of the women had, in fact, children, and women still have also found on the basics. Virgin reference came possibly because young, female priests is sometimes referred to as "The virgins of the Sun" which was supposed to teach at Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu population were massacred by the Spanish army

This theory can be ruled out entirely. Although historians still not quite sure why the Incas, Machu Picchu, knowing that the settlement is not visited by the Spanish. To begin with, there is no indication in Spanish settlement on the Inca trail. There are also some destruction of the area that may have been caused by military force and the area is very well conserved. It is believed that Spanish would have had an extreme disadvantage if they planned to massacre that the Inca trail trek top would have left them vulnerable population. All of these reasons, as well as the fact that none of the bodies that exist on the site appeared to have died as a result of violence completely excludes a massacre of the Spanish army.

Inter-Tribal warfare

Why or how the Incan people disappeared is something that is still controversial among historians. One of the theories is that another strain killed the Inca people. This is possible because we know that when the Emperor Huayana Capac defeated Caranques, he ordered the remaining members of their death. But we also know that the body found exclude the idea of death through violence.

So while we are often told tales of violence and massacre lead to termination of the Machu Picchu Inca ceremonial Centre that one, it is more likely that inhabitants may have died from an epidemic that syphilis or malaria, or simply abandoned the site on its creator's death.

Whatever the reason for abandonment was magnificent uninhabited Inca town since "lost" the outside world, with only a few indigenous Quechua people aware of its existence until the explorer Hiram Bingham stumbled on a jungle-clad Machu Picchu in 1911.
