Part of the Machu Picchu enormous appeal is that it is almost a secret. Invisible from the ground, a winding road will take you to the five-square-mile city that the emergence of agriculture terraces are fed by natural springs. The idyllic surroundings are home to palaces, houses, baths, temples, parks, a hundred stairs and warehouses kept beautifully. Architecture buffs can't help but be impressed by the incredible skills. Blocks of granite weighing 50 tons or more combined carefully and cleverly so that not even a thin razor blade fits between the joints. Used as an astrological viewpoint, it is not surprising that there is no other than fantastic views from Machu Picchu.
Machu Picchu, Peru's most visited tourist attraction, and as such, it is often crowded with visitors. The site is on the UNESCO list of world heritage in danger, so you are encouraged to go easily and leaves no trace of your visit in order to preserve the ruins. You can ride roughshod over the ruins on the Inca Trail, or walk on foot or by bus from Aguas Calientes, Peru. From Aguas Calientes, Peru, you will spend quite a bit of time in a row, either the bus or the entrance. When there, there is no transport, so be prepared to go a lot. While the 2-or 4-day hikes can be difficult, offer the best way to see the city. Bring sunscreen and water-and neither leaves behind when you leave the ruins.
Visit Machu Picchu will require an entrance fee for 122 Peruvian soles, which is approximately US $ 44. Students with ID, YOU can get in for half price. Note that it is not possible to buy your ticket to Machu Picchu. You will need to do it in Machu Picchu Aguas Calientes, Peru's Cultural Center, or in Cusco at the Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC). Guided tours are available, and this is a great way to see the ruins and learn about its history. Go around, however, is another great way to experience this beautiful Mountain Retreat.
